Joost Kooistra is a former Dutch international volleyball player and the founder of Joost Kooistra Sportmanagement. With a strong background in top-level international volleyball, the agency focuses on guiding volleyball players, both male and female, on both a sporting and business level.
During his active career, Joost represented the Netherlands in 97 international matches, with the highlight being his participation in the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000. At club level, he played for teams such as Sudosa Assen, Remote IT Zwolle, Piet Zoomers Dynamo Apeldoorn, Monini Marconi Spoleto (Italy), and Landstede Volleybal Zwolle.
Throughout this period, multiple national titles, cups, and super cups were won. The pinnacle at club level was winning the European Top Teams Cup in 2003 with Piet Zoomers Dynamo.
Since 2010, the focus has been on supporting both talented and professional players. This led to the establishment of Joost Kooistra Sportmanagement, where players are supported worldwide in their careers, from contract negotiations to personal development.
